Beyond the usual deck of 52 cards, here are some up and coming card games you can play in your home for an interesting games night with your friends or family. Some card games are more risky than others but take a look and see which card games look the best for you.
Brutal Judgement – A horrible yet hilarious game aimed at adults. Prepare to have your ego dented, as each player asks brutal questions and all the other players vote, from who has the sketchiest search history, to who would benefit most from a nose job!
It’s brutal, it’s fun and you’ll be assured giggles all eve. Great for a kick back after a few drinks.
Cards Against Humanity – The original crazy, rude, crude and bonkers game. It’s a game for horrible people but you will be assured laughs.
One card has a question, the other cards have answers. Each player chooses an answer they thinks suits. Hilarious and sick!
Kids Against Maturity – The child’s version of cards against humanity. Much more family friendly but all the same great fun running through the questions and possible replies.
Safe to grab this one if your kids or grandma are around
The Official Taskmaster Game – If you’ve ever watched Taskmaster on telly, this is the game in card form.
Loads of quick play challenges, it will involve a lot of activity from building towers with household items to doing the most powerful thing you can with your pinky finger. Fun, weird and wonderful game,
This Game Will Ruin You – A good one for parties. This one is NOT a family game, not for the easily embarrassed and ideal for a night drinking with friends who have an open mind.
It’s all about dodging bullets and taking challenges. If someone is new to your friend group, they’ll know you very well by the end of the night! Rawr!
Playmonster’s 5 Second Rules – This one is aimed at being a travel game, the aim is to name three things within 5 seconds of the card and well it’s not as easy as you think.
For instance – Name 3 wet things! Fun for all ages, can be a riot depending where you are, shout the objects and see if you win.
Uno – This one is an absolute classic. Match numbers and colours, utterly replayable and ideal for young kids right through to old age.
Easy to understand, very fun and for the younger audience (and some older types) an ideal way to teach taking turns and following rules!
Zombie Doctor – More aimed ad adults and teens that little kids but each card is a life saver or limb taker. A great gory gift for a friend who loves to eat brains and each game is very quick to learn and runs between 15 to 30 mins in length.
Winner is the last player to stop the zombie virus from reaching their head!
Herd Mentality – This game is described as ‘udderly addictive’ for a reason. It’s a solid family game and pretty funny. Ideal for a get together and can be played again and again.
You will all be mooing at each other and the games themselves don’t last ages so also great for travel, you’ll play a few games each you open the box. Moooooo!
The Slippery Slope – Hen Party Game. It’s a card game aimed at hen parties with cards based on interrogation, improvisation or solving dilemmas.
With a hen party theme, I am sure you can imagine how quickly you will all slide down the slippery slope as you play.
Good fun but not clean fun!
That’s a whole lot of gaming time and a whole lot of crazy card playing for you to enjoy. We hope to share more fun card oriented games too because they’re quick to learn, simple to play and don’t take up as much space as a traditional board game!
